The annual Kalif picnic will be held this year on Saturday, August 3rd, following the Johnson County (Buffalo) parade. This picnic has been rotated around the area for several years, this year being held at Lake DeSmet. Ann Gardner, friend of the Shrine, has graciously offered her residence for this year's event. Her address is 9 Waterfront Place, Buffalo, WY. Direction to her place will follow. The Kalif Kan-O-Bulls again will provide the meat and condiments for the burgers and Legerski Brats cooked by Director Otto.. You are encouraged to bring a dish to share, a salad, vegetable, or dessert. You also need to bring your favorite beverages (BYOB). Might also be wise to bring your chairs for seating. This is a great venue with a perfect view of the lake, and access to the water is only a short walk away, so bring the family and don't forget your swimming suits or water toys.
Directions to her place: (The Best Way) If you have GPS capability, just put in....9 Waterfront Place, Buffalo, Wyoming. If you don't have GPS, get on Interstate 90 between Buffalo and Sheridan. If coming North from Buffalo, take exit 51 (Lake DeSmet) and turn right onto Lakeridge Road. Follow Lakeridge Road for about 2 1/2 miles to the 2nd Shoreline Drive road (don't take the 1st one) and turn right. Go about 0.3 miles to Waterfront Place and Turn left....go until you can see the lake and you can't miss it. Will have balloons.
If you're coming from the North (Sheridan), take exit 47 (Shell Creek). It's about 1.2 miles to the Monument (Monument Drive). Turn right and go about 0.8 miles to Shoreline Drive, turn left for about 0.3 miles to Waterfront Place, go until you see the lake and you're there. Will have balloons.
